Liat Kedem lives and works on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong (Boon Wurrung) people of the Eastern Kulin Nation. As an Australian artist of Lebanese and Estonian heritage, she carries a deep appreciation for the layers of history, resilience, and ancestral connection that define a sense of place. Liat pays her respects to all traditional owners of the land, and acknowledges that sovereignty was never ceded—this always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
