SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE

CHOREOGRAPHER, PRODUCER, PERFORMER

See You on the Other Side is an intimate dance portrait that pays tribute to the seemingly unimportant moments in our everyday lives that end up changing everything. Using a feminine lens, See You On The Other Side was developed by Liat and a group of diverse South Australian dance artists through a series of creative research and development sessions through a Dance Hub SA residency.

“While still an emerging artist, Liat’s work showcased a distinctive choreographic voice that seeks to engage audiences through strong phrasing and, in this case, a witty critique on perceptions of femininity through a feminist lens. Liat delivered a work that brought a sense of diversity and surprise to the Adelaide Fringe dance program which was appreciated and valued by audiences attending the Quick Steps program.” - Kyra Herzfeld, Country Arts SA

At its heart, the conceptual departure point for See You On The Other Side is autoethnographic; the work explores how personal history, identity, ancestry, lived experience and artistic lineage influence the way we view the world in each moment. See You On The Other Side explores how change is viewed across cultures and societies, and how people react to change depending on their background, upbringing or identity.
